Monterey Car Week is the busiest week of the year on the peninsula. The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion runs at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca from August 11 to 14, 2027, with the Monterey Pre-Reunion and Corkscrew Hillclimb on August 7 and 8, and the week ends with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 15. Auctions, tours and gatherings fill Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel all week.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a PGA TOUR event played February 1 to 7, 2027, at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill. Spectators use the tournament's own transport and parking system, and charter groups follow its rules for drop-off.
Laguna Seca hosts races and events through the year off Highway 68 between Monterey and Salinas. Race days use designated parking and bus areas, and the climb out after the last race is slow.
Access is the main planning issue. Pebble Beach has gates and commercial vehicle rules, Carmel has narrow streets, and Highway 68 and Highway 1 back up on event days. Hotels across the region fill, so many groups stay in Salinas, Marina, Seaside or even San Jose and ride in each day.
